Evaluation of the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation’s grants for UArctic 2010- 2015

Summary

IRIS Group has conducted an evaluation of the funds allocated by the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation to the network organization UArctic in the period 2010-2015, of which a total of 11 Danish research and education institutions are members.

The appropriations have since 2013 been allocated to 1) seven projects focusing on education and research, 2) mobility activities targeted at students and researchers at UArctics member institutions and 3) UArctic operations.

The evaluation shows, among other things, that the projects implemented have resulted in several positive effects for participating member institutions, including faster project implementation and a wider range of qualified participants in project activities. However, the evaluation also points to certain development potentials, for example, to increase the additionality of project funds.
